Child Passenger Safety Day

November 7 @ 9:00 am1:00 pm

This event is designed to serve as both a fun family experience and a valuable community outreach opportunity, while also helping to introduce more youth and families to the Scouting program and its positive impact throughout Worcester County.

The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2026, at Worcester State University, in partnership with the Massachusetts State Police, Worcester State University, and the Heart of New England Council.

During the event, Massachusetts State Troopers will provide free child car seat inspections and installations, helping families ensure their children are traveling safely. The Massachusetts State Police will also showcase specialized equipment and resources that highlight their commitment to public safety and community education.

Scouts and leaders of the Packs and Troops in Worcester will assist throughout the event, interact with attendees, and share information about the exciting opportunities available through Scouting.

A special highlight of the day will be the Massachusetts State Police rollover simulator, which demonstrates the potentially life-saving importance of wearing a seat belt. This hands-on experience provides a powerful and memorable reminder of safe driving practices for families and community members of all ages.

By bringing together public safety professionals, community partners, and local Scouts, this event aims to promote child passenger safety, strengthen community connections, and showcase the values and benefits of Scouting in Worcester.
